Beware !!
Pros:
Cons: HP will not honor warranty if any problems with screen. They deem any problems to me misuse by the user !. They will charge you $ 190.00 for repair, or $85.00 just to return the broken unit (if you refuse to be extorted). There are many posts on the inter

Small and Fast
by enyikos on September 10, 2005
Pros: Its fast and has wireless just about everything
Cons: Low battery life with wifi turned on, about 3 to 4 hours
Summary: When my 4155 unit came in the mail and I picked up the box it was so light I thought it was something else I had ordered.

Well its super light and has built in wifi, bluetooth, and IR, maybe even more. It's really easy for me to sync via wifi so there are no cords to mess with. Charging only takes an hour and a half to two hours usually. I can surf the web, check my mail, etc. thanks to the wifi. It's also fun to drive around and see all the unprotected networks people have.
One thing I did have to buy pretty soon after getting the unit was a micro keyboard, which is by HP also, so that typing would be easier, and it is.
So the reason its not a perfect score by me is the fact that battery life is a little low with wifi on, which is understandable, but still...2 out of 2 users found this user opinion helpful.

A terrific PDA
by eric788 on September 23, 2005
Pros: Very bright, clear display, wi-fi, bluetooth, size, expansion
Cons: Built in Infrared is not strong, needed to get the Griffin Extender, display is not vga (none were when this was made, so not a legit con, but something worth considering)
Summary: I have had mine for 2 years and I have never had a single problem with it. I have used it for so many things. I've installed many applications, ...
Summary: I have had mine for 2 years and I have never had a single problem with it. I have used it for so many things. I've installed many applications, games, etc and the only time I hard reset was to install an updated ROM from HP. I recommend buying an alumninum protective case. My 4155 is in absolute mint condition after 2 years of use and reading about other peoples drops makes me glad I invested in one of these cases. I have used it as a remote (the griffin IR extender transmitter DOES WORK with this device, regardless of what their site says for tv, dvd, sound systems, projectors of all kinds, encoded DVD's and watched on plane trips (video is small but you can flip widescreen so it's actually pleasant to watch. Sound is sensational on this device with stereo headphones). I've sent tons of emails, I've controlled my desktop pc using both terminal services and VNC for pocket PC, streamed live TV to my device using Windows Media Encoder, I've connected via the putty SSH client for pocket pc to servers at work and been able to make quick changes in a bind. I've used the bluetooth for connecting to different cell phones as well as for transferring data and for printing. I also have several network printers installed on my device and I have had no problem printing to any of them. I sync with wifi and it flies not to mention is very convenient. I get terrific download speeds which is another thing that I have been very happy with over the time I've had this device. I really cannot think of one problem I have had yet with it. This PDA wasn't cheap at nearly $400 2 years ago, but I feel like my investment was very worthwhile. This pocket pc has been around the country with me and though there are new technologies emerging, it still has excellent benchmarks and I feel that except for the improvement of VGA display I still have a top-notch device that looks the best and is quality made. I've tested some of the VGA PDA's and they are all larger than this device. I have an Axim X50V and while it has all sorts of capabilities, it feels cheap next to the 4155 which feels and looks like a quality professional product with it's polished silver metallic body versus the plastic used by Dell. It's also smaller, which I like. I do actually throw it in my pocket, even in it's aluminum case, and I think that's another reason why this PDA deserves a high mark. You can actually take it places where you will use it! I have no idea why HP went with the rectangular design they now use, it's not convenient or attractive. I hope the sleek look and awesome form factor appear again in newer models. Again, great device. If you want a Camera or a VGA Display, it's not for you. Otherwise I think it remains one of the very top devices available even after a couple years.

Very Very Nice...but...
Pros: Really overall a great unit. Nice features. I wouldn't worry about the faint yellow screen tinge when you hold it an an angle...because you wouldn't typically look at the screen from an angle anyway. Battery isn't that bad...but could hold a charge a bit
Cons: but...the manuals and documentation are very poor. HP's website for tech support is not very helpful as it only seems to cover the basics. You really have to spend alot of time working with this unit and learning it in order to take full advantage of its

Had mine for a year and still love it!
Pros: Versital and easy to carry. I love the wifi and bluetooth options. I find new things to use it for constantly! You'll want to check out xlobby.com that allows you to use the wifi to run apps on your desktop...it's so cool!
Cons: After a year I have two spots that are a bit worn, I should have spent a buck on screen protectors. Battery life could be longer and it tends to get a bit warm after heavy use. Buttons are horrible and hard to use while holding the pen. Browser limits wha

Super Very Good PDA
Pros: Its a great PDA but just needs a camera and will be the ultimate PDA!
Cons: Has no camera have to buy a attachable camera which is $129.99 and goes in the sd slot and only works for h4100 series!
-
Great Very Good
Pros: Its very good and great at everything but the only thing is a camera. You got to buy a attachable camera which is $129.99 and that is expensive because its just a camera and the memory is 28mb when you get it. They should have a built in camera so you can
Cons: No Camera Built in so you have to buy one for $129.99!!!

Comact, WiFi & Bluetooth, great screen.
Pros: Solid unit takes knocks, and has a great sleek design. Love the rounded bottom for fitting in jacket pocket. Performance is speedy. Color screen is sharp.
Cons: Pocket Excel not close enough to desktop version-quirky. Came some basic memory - at the price of memory - it should come standard with much more out of the box - makes it tough to have apps loaded on a memory card and use devices like GPS recievers.

Defective platic screen
Pros: Integrated WiFi and Bluetooth
Cons: Despite the fact that I cared for the IPAQ like a newborn baby, 2 months after I bought the unit the defective plastic screen broke. HP said that, even though it was under warranty, I still had to pay them $185.00 to get it fixed. Stay away from HP.
